About us

Our team of physiotherapists provide assessments for muscle and joint pains, whether these are due to a recent injury or a long-term condition.

Our team will offer advice on how to manage your symptoms and will provide you with the information that you need to make decisions about your care.

Our physiotherapists will discuss and agree a treatment plan with you aimed at achieving your goals. This may include exercises to improve your strength and activity levels.

Our physiotherapists can refer you to another service such as podiatry or occupational therapy if this may help you.

We have a range of treatments on offer in our physiotherapy departments.

We run various groups which may help your rehabilitation. Referral into these groups can be made by your physiotherapist if you agree. The groups that we offer include:

Escape Pain Programme

Our Escape Pain Programme provide advice and information about hip and knee osteoarthritis. The sessions include exercises to build strength to support your joints.

Back Classes

Our Back Classes are suitable for people who have a new episode of back pain and those who may have had back pain for a long time. The aim of classes is to increase your activity levels and to support you to be able to manage your pain.

The group provides information to help you better understand back pain and develop ways to manage it. The sessions cover topics relating to sleep, stress and healing processes. The sessions include a programme of exercises, which can be adapted to meet individual needs.

We have specially trained physiotherapists who offer injections to provide pain relief from various conditions including arthritis and frozen shoulders. Injections can help to relieve pain to allow you to exercise and improve your strength and activity levels.

Aches and pains affecting the muscles and joints of the body are a normal part of life, but nevertheless they can make it harder for you to carry out some or all of your usual day-to-day activities which can leave you feeling worried and frustrated. However, many of the conditions that cause these aches and pains can be easily treated by you, at home.
